Getting Started

1. Access the Game

• Open Family Squad on your device using the link provided.

• Gather your family and get ready for a game full of fun and connection!

2. Set Up Your Game

• Select the number of players.

• Enter each player’s name in the provided spaces.

• Choose a color token for each player.

• Name your Family Squad—this could be your last name or a fun family nickname!

 

3. Roll the Dice & Begin

• Press the dice button to determine the order of play.

• The game will randomly assign who goes first, second, and so on.

• On every turn, the player must press the dice to move forward.

4. Landing on a Pink Spot

When a player lands on a pink space, they’ll draw one of the following cards by clicking on the back of the card to flip and reveal it:

• Emotion Challenge – Engage in a fun activity that encourages emotional awareness.

• Motion Challenge – Complete a movement-based challenge.

• Question Card – Answer a thought-provoking question designed to spark meaningful conversations.

If the challenge is completed, the player earns resources for their Family Pillars Bag! If the challenge is not completed, the player returns to their original position before rolling the dice.

 

5. Landing on a Purple Spot

Family Squad is a cooperative game, meaning players must work together to succeed. When a player lands on a purple space:

• They receive a Purple Card, which involves multiple players.

• The card will specify how many players participate and the type of challenge.

• Players collaborate to match the required resources.

• If successful, they earn resources to complete the Perfect Weekend!

• If the challenge is not completed, the player returns to their original position before rolling the dice.

 

6. Next Player’s Turn

• After completing a challenge, the next player rolls the dice and continues the game.

 

7. Finish the Game

• The first player to land on the last spot wins the game!

• Other players continue playing until they also reach the last spot, they keep playing until the Perfect Weekend is completed or as close to completion as possible.
